I've looked at several places but I can't find wiper blade _refills_ anywhere so far. I don't want the whole bow, just the blade. Any ideas? Even Autozone only has just the bows and blades... no refills.

Advance auto parts has them, To me its not worth the frustration of trying to install the refills half the time they dont work right and you have to get new wiper blades anyway. Wal mart sells cheap sets of whole blades for like $4, Might as well spend the extra $1 and get new at wal mart.

It's amazing how different the prices are depending on where you go. I bought my Bosch Icons for $14 (both!) at WalMart.

I didn't realize you could still buy the ones where you can just replace the blade refil - that would be perfect for allisons car

My G6 needs the low profile kind (like a Bosch Icon) or else the arm starts to float at high speeds. I can tear apart the OEM ones and replace the blades. OEM bows, like on older cars are almost always more durable than the el-cheapo replacements. The el-cheapos usually grenade when they get froze to the windshield and you hit the switch.

I'll check out the Advance on Bluemound.

If you cant get them to work menards had a sale on the beam style blades for like $10 each, dont know if they still are running that deal or not.

napa keeps the OEM in stock but they are almost 20 bucks a blade but it wont have that issue will stick to the windshield and clean it good

they make so many types of refills it would be impossible to keep them all in stock but i can order them but they are just as expensive as a exact fit blade so

Im only buying bracketless blades from now on, I hate ice damed blade brackets and the uneven blade pressure they provide.

Think I'm going to head to wal*mart tomorrow.

Even the walmart I went to didn't have refills anymore. Probably too many people buying the regular ones when they needed the narrow ones

Whats the best type of wiper to get? Whats the difference if you pay 4 bucks per blade or 15 per blade?

really isnt besides how long they will last. I have found the winter blades dont keep to the windshield at highway speeds best would be the newer GM kinds that stay flat to the windshield but they are pricey and have heard crack.

I think Icons are the best but I havent had any, tho Bosch is surely a good wiper manufacturer, among other things. The zone has icons @ $12-14 for average sizes.

2007 and older G6s come with OEM Bosch ICON #441 on them. The part number is for the kit (24" and 21"). It's $35 from Amazon (cheapest I've found).

They're bling blades but mine have 22,000 miles on them and the driver one has started to fold over in the center (causing a streak). Passenger one is fine. The design of the bow allows you to disassemble it and replace just the blade but then you don't have the "wing" to help keep the blade down on the windshield. But if they only stick up 3/8" above the windshield I don't think it'd matter. I'm a cheap bastard and I don't want to pay $20 for one Bosch ICON bow and blade.

Rain-X makes the "Latitude-2" line which supposedly #24-2 and #21-2 fit my G6.

Trico makes the traditional multipoint bow in #24-13 and #21-13. They also make the Neoform ones (low profile spring steel bow like the Bosch ICON) in 16-2413 and #16213.

Maybe I'll go see if Wally-world has the Rain-X blades cheap enough. I know AutoZone and the Advance by me wanted full MSRP.

I buy the whole blade from target. Its about $3 dollars for each and they have always been the best ones that I find. If you bang them to hard to get ice off of them they break but its 3 bucks.

No, you may be right. I think it was $24 for the icons, but there was a rebate for the entire price of the second one. I wouldn't have purchased them otherwise.

I don't like them either - They were great at first but leave a ton of crap on the windshield during show.

exactly, even in the rain, if it rains just enough to need the wipers, all they do it rearrange the water on the windshield rather than pushing it off to the side.
