Looking for a set of 17" rims locally off atrailbalzer or envoy if you know of any... The 16" jobbers wont clear the brakes on this pickle:mad:

They are a 6x 5" lug pattern and aftermarket rims are scares and too expensive, not mention ugly.

Tom, what a lot of SS guys are doing is scaveging local junkyards for fullsize stamped steel spares and running 4 of those through winter. Could be cheaper then trying to buy some OEM 17's

It has to be a truck type 17" rim with enough BS to clear the brakes and the spindle. One could use spacers to change the patter to 6 x 5.5 but then trying to find a rim that wont stick out pasthe fender is a bitch, then a silverado wheel with a 265 series tire wont clear the spindle... Just gotta pay the piper and get factory rims for it of some sort.

This thing sucks balls in the snow BTW with the 20's!

They are LKQ smart parts in hustisford, about 10 min from my house.

Just so happened that had 4 17" steel spares off TB's in stock. They cost though... $100 a pop! You can get factory alloy wheels for $85 a pop but they are 4 days out. But i need them before this huge storm tommorow.

Gonna forego the TPMS sensors too like i do with the monte, just gotta clear the warning out of the DIC everytime you drive... no biggie to me. Not sure if the stabilitrak operates the same w/o but that shit was active most of the time in the last 4" we got lol... Never seen a AWD truck you can pitch around easier than the S10 lolololololol

I wish I could do that on mine. Unfortuantely, with the Brembos, I'm stuck with the smallest of an 18" rim, and even the regualr GC wheels will not clear the brakes. my winter package will cost me $1600 so consider yourself lucky!

Got some pirelli scorpions for the ml, this thing is no longer fun to drive in the snow almost grips too good! Probably the best 700 I ever spent on car parts.

I know big bear sells a lot of hankook, the ice bear's are supposed to be pretty good, come in a lot of sizes and are cheap.
