What are the benefits to using a stub stack with a Holley? Are they worth it?

it smooths the airflow into the carb. i have heard of slight gains, maybe a few hp at best.

What ron says...it'll lessen the turbulence of the air, lowering the resistance of the air flow. This MAY improve the signal through the venturi's as it might improve the quality of flow through there.

I have seen some post 10-15hp gains...but keep in mind that this is on highly built/tuned "Engine Masters" builds where they are putting out anywhere from 600-800hp. Something like a stockish built street-engine isn't going to move enough air to make that significant a difference that makes it worth the cost.

Well.....even a small gain would be worth it, and seeing as they are only about $40, that's a pretty small sum to spend. Thanks very much for your responses, guys! :)
