Well Andy we could put a twin set-up on a 427 BBC and Ford would own NOTHING!

Seeing that Hance's car with a 632ci BBC motor & twin 91mm's hasn't gone quicker than Fiscus's 450ci SMALL BLOCK FORD & twin 88mm's, I'm not so sure about that. There are plenty of twin turbo and F3 BBC powered cars in Outlaw DR and the Ford powered car has gone the quickest so far. (Hance's car with the BBC own's the MPH record though at 211.) :thumbsup

Am I saying it will stay like this, most likely not. There is so much going on in this class that I am sure we are going to see a 6 second pass relatively soon. (Maybe Ford or maybe Chevy powered--They are all in Mustangs though :D)

I agree! It won't be long for a 6 second pass now. Chevy or Ford, that is crazy!! I understand we are in a drag radial thread, but to say Ford will own nothing..:rolf
I witnessed two black '69 Camaros owned by one person, who has more money than God, with big Sonny engines and turbos, get his ass handed to him by a nitrous canted valve small block Ford :headbang
And would they be working on their big Ford if there wasn't possibly more to be had?
How fast did they go with the shotgun in the GTO with 80s technology??!
Hell if they could keep the blocks from splitting with the modular motors (with BIG horsepower) look what them little bastards are capable of!
There is a guy out of Canada with a blue Mustang, modular with an F3 running 6.40s! Shit is gettin' REAL interesting for next season!!

I have been lucky to have all different makes of pretty fast stuff. I think the Barracuda was my '68 I sold only to buy my '41 Willys steel Gasser. That car ran well! Mopars are definitely one of my favorites. I have had two '70 R/T Challenger 440 ragtops, a '70 440-6 'Cuda, '70 440-6 Challenger R/T, Charger R/Ts, etc. I wish I could have kept them all!!

Now that I think about it, you may also have been the guy that originally had the 67 Fury 440 police car that I had as well.... I got it from either Tom or Cam I believe. I had that car for a few years around age 18-20 - lots of interesting stories happened involving that car...

Are you talking bout the race in Vegas Spirio I believe was number 1 or 2 qualifier ... Spiro has only about 30-40 passes on the Hemi ... And the Old Camaro still has a Fast Times motor and is still the fastest single turbo 10 inch tire car in the country ..And in the Pro Street stuff Mike Moran is faster than God LOL

#1 was Billy, #2 was the Garrett Mustang, #3 was Bob Glidden (as I remember)
Spiro had BOTH cars there and ran both- totally legal but pissed alot of people in 10.5 off!! Guess they thought he was unsure about gettin' it done with one car so race both! I just about puked when they announced it was his daughters birthday that weekend and Spiro hired a magician to come with and entertain them! If he wasn't so much of an arrogant asshole he has hero status. Yes Moran IS the shit Fo Sho!!!!

Ahhh, you would be talking about Jim Burge's old '68 Barracuda. I should've bought that thing from him when he was selling it and dropped my B1 into it. I had no idea he was going to let it go as cheap as he did...:(
