Anyone know of a good internet service provider in Madison? Hoping to get setup today or this weekend.

I would assume tds. I think they are based there. I have their DSL with no problems. Works great and not a complete rip off like rr.

yeah dont get DSL.

I think comcast is over there? not sure. Just get any cable connection. DSL is junk.

I use DSL and it works fine for what I need and its plenty fast.

Charter is awesome. Verizon DSL is ok. No comcast here that I know of. I would say go with Charter though.

... 1 meg down? you can get 2 meg down for 5 bucks more.

they want 55 bucks a month for ******* 6 megs down? how can they compete when everyone is faster for cheaper.

It's all about what you need i guess. I don't play games or download music. 1 meg works fine for da net.
If you know of 1 meg down for cheaper, not a teaser price that will go up in 6 months, or higher speed for the same price i'd take it.:)

rr has 756k for 20, 2 meg for 30 some, regular 6 or 7 meg for 40, 15 meg for aobut 60 some. now that price setup may be with cable tv with it as well, i dont know, i pay 60 some for the 15 meg connection.

uverse 6mb for 35, my speed averages around 9.8mb

i have TDS DSL, had charter cable but was sick of outages and them raising the rates all the time.
