View Full Version : Restaurant Recommendations

So I am graduating from UW-Whitewater on the 20th and after the ceremony, my family would like to go out to dinner. We would have a group of maybe 10 people because I want to keep it small.

Any recommendations on a place to go? Ideally, it would be nice to go somewhere where we could have a private room or at least something quieter. I don't want anything real expensive either - after all, my parents just put me through college!

I'm open to anything around the New Berlin and Brookfield area. I don't go out to eat often, so I am not familiar with many of the restaurants around here and I am sure there are quite a bit.

Thanks in advance!

Went there a few months ago with Amy's family.. Pretty decent food, good prices, and we had our own private area/room. It's right by Sam's Club and Home Depot. Had never heard of it till we went there, but it was pretty good..

Panio Blu in Pewaukee. They have a perfect private room, usually live music fri/sat. Good prices for being on pewaukee lake.

Go to the Porticello on Silver Lake in Oconomowoc. I built the restaurant and the food is absolutely fabulous! Maybe the best steak I have ever had. The chefs Less, and Giovani are masters of the kitchen! It is a swanky authentic Italian restaurant with a fabulous view of the lake. Expect to pay around $30/plate and worth every penny!

Eh, if you're driving out to Oconomowoc mightas well go to the Golden Mast... However that's a little higher priced...

I went there once and I'll never go there again. And I always give places 3 strikes before they're out. You're better off at Denny's across the street.

Red Robin!!!!!

Gasthaus, my buddies in high school worked there. They had to scrape leftover coleslaw off plates and into the huge vat of it that got served to the next person. Never been there because of that.

ClaimJumpers in brookfield square was actually really good. I had the whiskey apple pork dinner. Awesome.

I am a HUGE fan of Stir Crazy compared to PF Changs. Had eaten down at the schaumburg one. So when they built it up here, I think i've been there 6-7 times now since it opened in early october/late september
