Looked to be all original. Some old timer was driving it... today. He probably bought it new. It was rusting some but I've seen much worse....

Collector tag none the less.

I thought it was a Malibu tag on the rear 1/4 actually but between fumbling with my phone and trying to take a picture, all while trying to stay in my lane, I had enough going on... :goof

Even had the wing window open so he could ash his ciggy...

there is a guy in Racine that dailys his 69 Chevelle SBC auto....snow tires on the rear. Bought the car new. Also has a 65 2wd C10 that he drives a lot in the summer. Lives near my parents house. :)

From that picture it looks pretty solid. Depending on the motor trans it has.
$7000 for low power
$12-14000 for a big block
SS maybe more

Damn it's cool seeing that car just driving around like that all original. That picture looks like a shot from The Wonder Years.

There's some Japanese cars I feel like this with ie cool seeing old original cars driving around.

I must be a magnet for seeing old iron out in the salt fest. Saw a brown early 70's Dart Swinger and a white Pontiac (Bonneville I do believe) from about the same era on 13th and Ryan at different times today. Both seemed to be in decent shape too... for now.

I guess to those people they are "just cars" though so to each their own.

Oh yea and debagded, de-trimed SS 396 with white wall pizza cutters, dog dishes and 6 cylinder exhaust pipe. :thumbsup

67 is my fav year Malibu but I prefer the SS 396 or 427 variety with all the bright work in place. Unlike most folks I much prefer the 64-67 Bu's over the 68-72 style. Same for Skylarks, 442's and Goats, just did not care for the round top and big body of those late 60's GM intermediates.

New material... Mopar this time. I dont know Mopars that well. Belvedere or Satellite maybe??? I don't think it was a GTX.

Whatever it was, it was in waaaayy too good of shape to be on the roads still....

Tags are definately expired on the Chevelle...well unless they are for December. Still has a front mudflap....pretty cool but uncool to see it out in the salt.

I think some of the members here need to be given a basic education on older cars from some comments. I don't know every model but that should be common knowledge :D .

I saw a gorgeous '66 Cadillac last weekend. It was in pretty good shape, ivory in color. I hate seeing those cars out in this weather. A few years back, the daily driver unexpectedly died, and until the necessary repairs were made, my Olds had to be "drafted" for daily duties. It was heartbreaking, although it certainly didn't seem to bother her any....she went through a blizzard like a tank.

He must want to have a "Rusty Chevrolet" like DaYopers song. I remember 15 years ago when I was a yout and that was the theme song for my dads 68 Chevy 10.

I seen this car today. It was at the BP on 76th & Oklahoma. There was an old '66ish Olds floating around the south side, same shade of blue. I worked on it once. Needed plus wires, bad. Couldn't touch the distributor with the car running. Dude wasn't buyin. So to set the timing I had to shut the car off and tweek the distributor, start it back up, check the timing, repeat. There is a '61 Imperial in my neighborhood that gets DD. I think it gets mothballed in winter, but I saw it all the time over the summer.
