my buddie over here got tasked to make a gator we recieved ( stripped of allmost all parts exept the tranny ) run and be able to be used as a fob runner. the only motor we could find is a 500cc out of a polaris quad. so far after alot of headach and a few weeks we got the motor mountes, radiator mounted, found the right clutches for it and got the belt installed, working on wireing and suck now. i will post pix when i get time to of our progress. i was wondering if anyone knew of a local sticker shop that would be willing to donate 2 stickers that say PolairaGator on them so we can slap them on the side of this beast.. we would really appreciate it. we are also trying to get our hands on a mini-turbo off a humvee and boost this bitch.. ill keep this thread updated..

my buddie said its off of one of the generates off of the back of one of the commo humvees at the drmo here. he said its pretty small, it might work, we will see, we have a whole year to figure it out. haha, we allready have some people wanting to race us with their gaters and rangers out here.. might turn into a fun year.. still working on pix.. we mounted the fuel pump and ran most of the hoses for everything..

trying to upload the pix now. we also just picked up a td03-07G mini turbo for it from a generator at the drmo.. cant wait to get it setup.. hopefully it will either go on this or something else, we will see

looks like its commign along, but they make a 500 ranger with the same motor and they are dogs. i think a 25 shot of spray is a better idea then the turbo.... but still if you come across a 700 ranger or worse yet a RZR800 youll get owned..... but normal gators you hsuold have no problem with taking them with just the lil 500 in it alone

thanks man, yea this one isnt getting the turbo, we have a second 500 sitting around, were going to try to find a really light frame to mount it into with the turbo. do you think the stock gator/polaris tranny could handle boost? and yea, spray would rock, but we dont have that here.. especially for the little weedwacker motor i found the other day were putting on a scooter.. we have 10 more months.. were goona have some fun :)

well she runs! finished the wireing last night and fired her up, ( exhaust isnt done ) shot fire out of the exhaust port. finishing up the pipe today and hopefully it will be running smooth tonight.:thumbsup

haha yea, all of the parts we used so far came from junk parts at the DRMO, so it was all free so far.

yes, we have a few challengers allready.. we really want to boost this thing too, but were working out some bugs in the carb.. PM me about the modifications.. thanks man :)
