haha wow. Do the people that make these replicas feel like total posers when driving down the street, or do you think they are so proud of their creation and that they have duped thousands of people?

what kind of trip do you have to be on to think up that idea. Making a cougar into an R8, not something that randomly pops into your head. But props to that guy for doing some really good work, it would have fooled me if I drove by it

1- The guy has some skill. I will give him that.

2-Anyone who has read anything about the R8 knows that its exterior looks are not the most impressive thing about it. Its Handling, Engine, and Interior are the best things about that car.

Well, I know nothing about those cars, but I think the guy did a nice job, just based on appearance. Like I said, if it isn't an F-body, or made before 1975, it's not something I'm familiar with, though, so I'm likely wrong here........

My sentiments exactly. The exterior is not the impressive thing on the car. Hell if I would even replicate it, I'd atleast paint the stupid CF areas on the side. I think that looks ridiculous on those cars and completely destroys whatever lines the car has.

Meh... The R8 is *under powered* for a "super car". 4.2 V8 ftl.

The replica is lame.:eek:

187 mph, 0-60 in 4.4, 12.5 1/4 mile....Not too bad IMO.
