Damn how is someone going to actually do an ill ass 13.4 swap (which is done very well) and then go ahead and fuck it all up like that?

Yes, that car should burn...as soon as someone takes the front end off and reuses it on their 240 that knows whats going on. That front end is $1000 by itself.

:wtf is a 13.4 swap? Or is that what happens when you put a 2JZ in a 240? It runs a 13.4 :rolf

It's an S13 240 with a later model S14 front end. It's not very common and seldom done well. There's less then a handful that actually pull it off well. That one partially pulled it off well. A+ on fitment, but f-- on the fact that there are no side skirts or any type of rear. Basically it looks like shit on a stock body 240.

Yea, that color is pretty hot.

If that car got into the hands of someone who knew wtf they were doing it would be pretty nice. Honestly all it needs is some Work XD9's, like so:
http://www.speedalliance.com/datpersonalfolder/xd9wmb_2.jpg

And an Instant Gentleman kit, like so:

A VQ swap and put the damn thing back to LHD and that car would be clean and sick as fuck.

I disagree.

Plus you can't even fit wheels those sizes without negative camber.

It's OK if you don't understand. The 240 community has a fetish for trying to fit insanely wide and low offset wheels.

No I understand completely.
If I slathered my car in stickers/park bench wing/etc. - and you said it looked like shit, would it be the same if I said "It's OK if you don't understand" :goof

No because that is just plain whack.

What you are talkin about is just slappin shit on your car. What I'm talking about is fitting the widest, lowest offset wheels on your car you can. And you don't just slap them on. There's more to it then that.

You guys think this looks like shit?

Yea 240 guys have "issues" with showing off their wide / agressive offset wheels with stretched tires. IMO its stupid, just like RHD.

Honestly if someone came up to me and said I'll trade you your exact same 18x9.5 rota torque-R with a +35 offset for your +20 offset I would do it in a heartbeat! I would LOVE a wheel with less aggressive offset than what I have now...

FWIW here is what I think of the original 240 posted:

No, I just dont think you need to put huge wheels and tires with huge lips on them for the car to look right. Same with lowering to pis out of them.

And yes Im not a fan of the combo on the car you posted. Not to mention the road kill catcher on the front.:rolf

Sorry, +35 anything on a 240 is failtown. I'd rather have stockers then some sunken battleships. If you're gonna spend the money, why not put the thought and effort into your wheels and do it right?

I'm a 240 tradtitionalist and I just can't stand poor fitting ie narrow FWD offset wheels on a RWD chassis 240.

But...to each their own.

Yup I am failtown like that. I actually like having a properly fit 285mm tire on my car, as opposed to a stretched 225mm tire on a 10" +10 offset rim just to be cool like all the other 240s.

And for everyone's reference here are my "sunken battleship" rims:

Here is a pic of the back of my car. IMO the +20 offset looks borderline silly I would MUCH rather push the rears in closer to the pumpkin and fit a 305mm tire back there :

And mine does need some more tire on it. The 215/45/17s are not cutting it. Especially after I will be able to launch the car next yr.

That's why i'm happy my 15's are pretty flush. and i hope my car can hook on a 235/60/15 dr next spring.

Rears look nice, but the tire is too wide for my tastes. Fronts are too sunk. Needs a spacer or lower offset.

And don't get all sart alicky about the "sunken battleships" when you obviously don't have some 18x7 +45 wheels on your car.

Unless of course what you are implying is you would rather have those type of sizes...

How can I do that if I don't know how much power your putting down.

EDIT: He's putting down about 300hp to the wheels. He's got a tourquey Infiniti V8 in there, so he's probably going to be able to shred some tires pretty easy.

Yea actually I've seen the build before on zilvia, that car is really cool. Very unique build and although I'm not a fan of his tire choice too much the rims are HOT! Additionally as his sig points out he is actually very "anti-stretch" like I am. IIRC, at one point he was one of the people that put like a 300mm+ tire under his car with the stock body and the same pull that's on it now.

I have never had my car dyno'd as it sits so honestly I am not sure on exact #s. Based on 1/4 mile trap speeds tho I'd bet it should do over 500 as it sits.

This next year I'll get some sticky tires for the strip and then use my existing rims/tires for some beginner road race events.

Right on, anyone who says that is a little crazy, especially if you are considering mostly drag racing!
If you plan to auto-x or road race you will just want to be careful with your selection of turbo(s)/cams/headwork just to make sure you keep a powerband you want. Remember its not all about making a peak number, but having the most available power (i.e. area under the curve) for what you plan to do.

Good luck with it and keep us posted with the progress pics! If you get stuck on something electrical just shoot me a PM.

Nope, he still has it. there is actually alot of RB cars floating around this area. I know of a 95-95 With a 25 and a bigger turbo Guys name is Evan, Then there is Ben with the RB30 in the coupe. Theres another kid with a 20 in a Hatch, a 20 in a Vert My buddy Eric has a Rb26 with a T78 in a hatch.

As far as JZ Powered 240sx's in this area. There was Donny at All about speed in South Milwaukee that had a 1JZ powered S13 coupe, but last i know he sold that a while ago.

So as far as i know she has the only 2JZ powered S-chassis car in Wisconsin, and she is the only Girl with a 2JZ swapped S-Chassis ar in the world.

This next year I'll get some sticky tires for the strip and then use my existing rims/tires for some beginner road race events.

Flick you and Liz gotta get her swapped! It would be cool to go to events together (all the 240s on here) and run.

Dope. I'm glad you're doing road racing. There's nothing wrong with drag racing i guess, but 240's are just so much more suited for racing that involves turns and brakes. lol :thumbsup

I'd like to start doing road racing myself next year. I've done quit a bit of auto-X now and would like to move onto a track. Or I'll just stick with auto-X.

I gotta get another 240 first though. :durr I was planning on buying a S13 vert, but my wife strongly wants me to buy an S14. So I might just cave and make us both happy.

Oh and gl on that swap Liz.

If I was going to do a swap of that nature I'd go LSx, but that's just me. :)

looks like a fun project flick will there be a turbo as well i assume?

actually there will be 2 turbo's 2JZ's come factory with two little guys.

thats what i thought just wasnt 100% sure

The whole engine code is 2JZ-GTE. The "T" in that code designates the engine has a turbo.

Same with a Skyline engine. RB30DETT. TT designates twin turbo. Toyota just doesn't have two t's.

Prolly spring, maybe sooner. I may end up taking a road trip down to ATL sooner then later. Since I'm down there I mind as well buy one. Looking to spend $4-$5k.
