That IRS handles perfectly. The car drives like a dream...and it actually has a little traction in the corners. The only thing that really irks me about this car is the lack of some fat tires on it (at least 275/40/17) - but oh well. :)

I know what you mean about modding being expensive for this thing, though. If it does have anything going for it it's the fact that it is still an LS1 car and has been in holden form for a long time.

We'll see though. :)

Well the IRS is fine but... if you were intrested in drag racing, the IRS really doesnt lend its self to that very well. Im sure a set of E/T streets and a couple high RPM dumps will bid those half shafts farewell LOL

Its a neat car, more of a collector for us stateside though. But its a racer in AU. You would have to have some deep pockets to mod a 40K car anyhow LOL

I know the guy that bought that red one ... he is preeeettty pissed because there is a problem with paperwork/window sticker and they wont let him take it before its worked out.

Ya,i didn't see the window sticker on it when it came off the truck.
Do you know if he's going to drive it home or trailer it?

These cars get shipped without stickers.

Pretty common practice now. We get a certified envelope before the car arrives that has the window sticker in it.

Gee, how are the dealers going to "modify" the prices on the sticker if you get it first?? Maybe they'll have to become honest.

No dealer (at least around here) will touch the sticker anymore. It's a $10,000 fine if anybody gets caught tampering with it, or even removing it before the customer takes delivery. For a long time it was commonplace to remove the sticker before the customer got there so the car would be ready to drive away on a whim. Now, the only two people in a dealership that can even touch that sticker before the customer gets there is the New Car Manager or the Owner/GM.

Now we just charge over sticker when the customer gets there. :)

to bad they weigh so much, 36xx +

That wont help in 1/4 times;)

The C5 have IRS and guys are pulling 1.5X 60's with ease.

Nice car

Didn't MT get a 13.4 out of the GTO? Not a bad time for the porker :goof

quite possibly, Waiting til it gets a little warmer out, de-mod the GP, sell it buy the C5 and by then ill have a Head and Cam package picked out or a blower setup picked out:devil Just depends which way I want to go, Gears, headers, Heads, and cam there are alot of C5's in the 10.XX range, thats where I'd like to be by fall....

hehehehe its just not as easy as bolting some parts on to reach those kinda goals though as you know LOL;)

But if Tim doesnt up the ante with his car for next season, im gonna need another LS1 to give me a run for my money:devil My car will down in the vette weight class with the potenial of making big power, the combo i got has the potential to be very potent and lethal. But well see what it does when i get it to the track and that will be the final result. Yeah i think youll be much happier with the Vette though, you can go faster easier and dont have to deal with short coming of fwd in drag racing. Just be smart when choosing parts, LS1's respond with the littlest things... That one heads and cam, and big cube vette in Milw is fast but..... it was dead even with my cam only m6 f body though...

Yeah I know how you can't just bolt on mods and be done. Took me about 2 months just to get everything right after the Intercooler was added to the GP.

It should be fun, what i've been seeing and reading, They have a ton of potential (which you know) and very responsive to mods. It should be a fun year if I get the C5.

Gears and Exhaust are the first mods for me..

in all fairness ... the body panels are thicker and there is alot of extra protection (oil pan skid plate)

in aus the 0-60 #'s are done on pavement and gravel

cool car....don't know if you needed to flat be it though but whatever...your car, your choice. I have heard that there are a few around already. I think there is a black one out in Waukesha.:wow

I flat bedded it because I currently live maybe 100 miles from that dealership. My parents house is down the road however.
