Thanks for all the in put on my new ride. I got really lucky and had some help from some good friends getting it. I want to have it ready by spring and was wondering if anyone knows of a place or two to help me get it finished? The interior of the car need to be finished including the reinstall of all the A/C stuff along with the dash and a new headliner. Their are some small areas of surface rust on the lower quarters and a hole in the floor about 3" long and a 1/2" wide right where the heel of your shoe sits on the gas pedal. Some of the work I'm going to do my self but I was wondering if anyone knows of a restorer or shop I can take this to and have some of it done? I hope I don't offend anyone by asking this but I would like to find a trustworthy place because of the rarity of some of the parts on the car.

Thanks again, Swags63 :thumbsup:thumbsup

Both shops have REDICULOUS prices, be prepared to spend GOBS of money at either of these joints.

We did his 1968 GT Mustang ground-up and he bought his '70 Cobra from me.

Bob bennett does Z restorations and quoted me $1200 for a rebuilt trans:rolf. it turns out all he does is send them to a guy in georgia that rebuilds them for $700-$800..

Ron bennett works at streetworks and is Bobs brother...and yes streetworks is expensive as well....quoted me $800 to straighten and clean up my rear bumper.

im friends with a guy up at perfection and hes painted the front clip of my car. does real good work for a good price

Nuff said.

I was just in Jim's Shop today finishing up some big parts for our car. Any guy that can go 7's with pump gas ....WITH A FORD under the hood to boot...is worthy of working on my Dad's ride.

Authentic Auto is the way to go. Just stop in there and talk to Jim or Corey
You will see why i chose them!

Street works is like a 4 man shop, one of which is WAY under payed and is easily one of the the most experienced fab guys I have ever met. Its a real shame that he is taken advantage there, but this is the wrong part of the United States to have his kind of talent.
