um... since janesville closed... probably not. but go normal IL and you can see the eclipse be made, or at least you used to be able to. every year there is (or at least used to) a dsm can 3g eclipse trip called "back to normal" that would end with a tour of the factory. sadly, i went a couple times. it was pretty cool.

If you ever get towards Detroit/Lansing area I HIGHLY suggest the Chrysler museum, would be nice even for a non car person.

GM museum is close to there, here it is even better.

Seeing how the first cars were built, actualy seeing cutaways
of the first cars ect is awesome. The Chrysler museum has
little movie theaters with archieve footage that is awesome.

The plant they build Vettes in sometimes does tours, but I think you have to go with a Vette club.

I toured the Norwood, Ohio F body plant in 1987, the year before it closed. They let us ride in the cars while they were still on the assembly line in final assembly.

Close to Rockford, A piece east Chrysler assembles the Dodge Caliber, Jeep Compass and Jeep Patriot in Belvidere.

Dont know if they offer tours but if they do it will be best to hurry.

Chrysler is offering buyouts to all 2,600 employees at its northern Illinois assembly plant.
