Punta Gorda is 50 miles northof Naples, Florida and there lives a guy with an amazing GMcollection. The Tampa Bay Corvette club went to see the cars. Check it out. www.tinyurl.com/bits-001

The complete story goes on to describe the Pontiac SD 421's and other unobtainable cars amongst all the rare cars their.

rich bastard

but yet an awesome collection. I wonder what a total value of everything would be? Imagine the insurance costs for all that???

Kinda weird is all GM. If I could do that I would want a few different cars in there as well.

I hope he has some sort of contingency plan for hurricane season. A bunker for the rarest ones isn't that unreasonable considering the value of some of those cars.

Punta Gorda is kind of sheltered from the storms. It's actually on a cove on the western side of the state, near Fort Meyers.

orly? recall spring of 2005 when punta gorda got leveled beyond recognition? I went on vacation to ft meyers beach and was able to drive through the mass destruction there.

Punta Gorda got shitstomped by Hurricane Katrina a few years ago. It was ugly. My Grandma has lived there since 1995. I'm actually going down there in 2 weeks and I'm meeting up with some of the local car guys. I'm gonna see if I cant get the scoop on what's up with the local car scene, and maybe find my way to that collection and take pix for everyone... :) I'll see what I can do. My grandma knows freakin' everybody down there it seems.
