If it is efficient and dependable, why not?!
Without centuries of "pushing the envelope" we would have technology from the 1800's.
By the way, that HP is sick from a 6 banger!!!!!!!!

we will see about that come March when the owner plans on bringing it to the Texas mile event in hopes of breaking the previous street car record of 242mph. :thumbsup

yet it'll probably still run the same e.t. in the 1/4 mile??? so who wins that one?

The car was not built to run the 1/4. It was built to run a standing mile. People do have other goals with cars rather than racing in a straight line.
I really don't think there's a car on this board that could touch running low
8's in the quarter and 242 mph(in 5th gear) in a standing mile. It's because of some supra owners who have no driving skills what so ever give high HP Supras the "Dyno Queen" title. Some even on this fourm.
