has anybody played it?
the golf dome is on south 27th street. i was just wondering if anybody has played the virtual golf thing.. you hit a real ball into this big screen and can play tons of huge courses... ive been to the dome b4 i just haven't ever played golf thier other than hitting a bucket or inside..
how much is it?and how realistic is it do i have to take in the whole bag or just one iron and driver and putter?
your thoughts on this??

thanks Mike

I've played something like that at Golf Galaxy on Layton and 76th st. They let you try the clubs out before you buy them and the have that screen but to play actual courses you need to pay. Otherwise the free deal is just like a driving range screen so you can test the clubs out.

I did it with my family a couple years ago. And my brother is a huge golfer. Was pretty fun. I would say bring your whole bag. Was decently realistic. I don't recall the cost though as my parents paid for it.

Putting isn't that fun with it but everything else is.

Only downside is you pay for time, not the 18 holes. Or atleast that's how it was whenever I went. Was because you were taking up "time" on one machine, compared to a real course, where they can get a couple groups out one right after the other. So if only for an hour, you might get 8 holes down or whatever. Atleast you don't have to waste time walking ;)

I worked at the golf dome like 7 years ago and I must say that the simulators are decently accurate. Sometimes they go alittle nuts and you'll hit a ball where you didn't want or whatever.
