The 62 was fun, I finished suicideing the doors and bagging it when I started on the body work and things got ugly. WAY more rust then I had thought, this car was an original Mary Kay car from 62, and sometime in the early 70's it was fixed by a body shop hack and the repairs were beyond repair in my hands so I parted it out.

Yes, those are Red Strobe lights, I was a Red Cross Volunteer before starting at the Fire Department. I had one of those Dashmiser units in the front and back windows and a 6 head all clear Hideaway strobe package. 2 in front corner lamps, 2 in red part of tails, and two in the amber turn signals in tails all set in a criss-cross pattern. They were removed and sold when I resigned from the Red Cross to start at the Fire Dept.

Ultimate truck did the install on it. I want to say it was made by Lund but not positive anymore. Between those lights and the airdam I think it was around a grand installed. The lights were PIAAs and they were Clear driving and Yellow crystal ION projector fog lights. Th flash really washed everything out on that truck.

The Power Wagon... Never did much with is cosmeticaly, but made a lot of mechanical repairs and a few mild up grades. After it got hit and the bottom hinge ripped from the door, it was time to sell her. Didn't want to just hang a door and fender on it and roll calico; and I didn't have the time/place/money/skill to even half-ass do the body work. To me the rust was patina and looked better than shitty body work. Sold it to a local kid in East Troy who uses it for wheelin' and a back 40 beater.

Shortly after I bought it. It had sat for five or six years in the guys driveway because it had an "electrical fire" and scared the guy. Took me an hour to fic the wires that got hot and started to smolder.

I plied it into a Saturn (woman doing an illegal u-turn on hwy 100 one afternoon). I hit her with the left front corner. Pulled it out half way straight but the drivers door was in usable. Truck came out of Texas and three winters worth of salt took it's toll on sheet metal that was already beginning to rot.

I loved that truck. Tilt column, cloth bench, AC, factory slider and factory sunroof. 360 2v and full time four wheel drive. After driving around on the factory motor that had 225k miles on it and two broken pistons for two years, I put in a rebuilt 360 with quadra-jet. It never, ever got better than 8mpg. It needed to be converted to selectable 4x4.
