Ive never found one thats really worth a shit for serious use. If you just want to loosen some small bolts/nuts there fine. I currently have a snap on one and ive had a milwaukee in the past. I cant even loosen all the lugs on my truck with the thing before it looses power.

Electric ones are alright if you dont have a compressor, there pretty good.

^ The new one can easily remove and re-install 3-4 sets of wheels on a single charge.

I consider my 18V Milwaukee awesome, if someone thinks its junk well what do you want Milwaukee=Hong Kong. :thumbsup

Seriously tho I have used some 110V 1/2 impacts and they are not worth using, I was satisfied with the performance of a friends 3/4" 110v dewalt, had as much power as an air impact atleast. My 18v is very close to *my* air impact which is enough to break loose 95% of lug nuts I encounter, the 18v Milwaukee only loosens 85% of lug nuts I encounter.
Handy as heck to just quick grab when you know you need to run some/many larger bolts and dont want to mess with air hose or extension cords and all that junk.
I keep my 18v at my factory day job and use air in my little garage hole.

I have the 3/8" 14.4 milwaukee and love it, and a 1/2" milwaukee lithion which is nice but bulky and not for engine work

+4 for the new snap on guns. My buddy has the 1/2 and the 3/8 and they are animals.

I have a new 1/2" 18v snap on and a 3/8" 12v snap on. The 18v is a badass, the 12v works well for little stuff....

i have a 3/8 snap on and i love it, i can use it working on my sled for a week at a time and not need a charge, i paid about 330 for it with an extra battery and case. i think it was well worth it

I've got an old Makita 9.6v 3/8" drive. No power for lugs or anything heavy duty, but for just general car duties, it is absolutely my favorite tool.

A dewalt with the most power you can get. a bud that races in the DIRT series here uses it when scuffin tires and has never had a lug come loose with 1/2 inch studs

I have a DeWalt 18v. It's nice and has not had any trouble with lug bolts. I think it is rated for 300 ft lbs.

I use Makita 18v Lithium at work, it works great for smaller bolts and nuts, not sure how it would work on lugs tho.
