Cracked rim.... is it really dangerous?

Two of my factory 17" alloy rims are cracked. The cracks are about 1cm long and right at the inside of the rim (can't see it unless the rim is off). The tires hold air fine and I drove on the cracks for atleast 14 months already, because I didn't even know they were cracked. I already bought after market rims to replace them, but is it a really dumb idea to use the cracked rims? I'm having a hard time finding a tire place to mount on cracked rims though. I want to use them for snow tires.

best bet, find two used wheels and replace the cracked ones. I wouldnt chance it. Your entire car is resting on those wheels....they have completely lost all structural integrity.

If you want, there are some places that fix wheels, they may be able to do something for you much cheaper.
