TODAY'S POLL QUESTION: When should it be legal for radio stations to start playing X-mas music...???

I for one :puke LAST WEEK when I heard X-mas music on 95.7, a station I once listened to.....:rolf

The racine zoo had their lights on last week for 3 days. I think they were just testing them out as they are off now. But it made me mad lol.

Music = week of
Lights = day after thanks giving.

My work plays it for a month and a half over the loudspeaker.... Same songs same station, and every song is a Christmas song.:chair::chair::chair:

Christmas sales start after Thanksgiving. People start putting up there lights (hopefully before the roof is covered in snow)

Putting up your lights is COMPLETELY different than turning them on though. If you wanna put them shits up in July when it is warm more power to you. IMO that is smart. And what I will do when I have a house. But don't turn them on till after thanksgiving. Just because they are up there doesn't mean you need to have them on.

i like christmas music....the old stuff like sinatra, or bing crosby. i voted november 1st, but the ipod is loaded with x-mas tunes, so i have been known to listen to it earlier. this year i am especially in the spirit. planning on having the brightest house in st. cloud!!

So when is it okay to setup my Christmas tree? It's my first year of having one and I am pretty anxious. Of course it's a fake one because we rent, but I am okay with that this year.

We set ours up the day after thanks giving. Then the rest of the stuff on sat.

Mainly because we have a 15 foot fake xmas tree and it takes a long time to put up.

I say December 15th. The stations I listen to do not play Christmas music ever. On the last day of work before Christmas, I haul in my DJ equipment to work and run holiday music. I'm thinking of running karaoke instead this year.

Every year, without fail, some family member gets completely butthurt about something completely stupid, and I get to have the pleasure of being stuck in the middle. Maybe this year I'll just tell them all I have malaria and stay home...........

All warm & fuzzy actually..

I plan on putting up some lights tonight.. Dunno if I will turn them on or not.. They are the new LED ones that we got at a discount last year after X-mas.. I'm pretty pumped about seeing how they look.. The LEDs are bad ass!

Oh cool, let me know how they compare to the traditional ones that have been around for years. If we keep the house through next winter I plan on making a HUGE waterfall down the side of the house, and I'd like to go with all LEDs if possible......:banana

A radio station should be able to play anything they want anytime they want. I am sure there are wackos who would listen to Xmas music in May or July.

I use to listen to 95.7 as well, they flipped to Xmas music on Halloween, just like 99.1.
I replaced 95.7 with 94.5, a station I dont really care for either.
