WKTI is gone, not sure how many people litsened to it, i am a huge radio seeker so i know i've stopped and litsened to it but it wasen't one of my favirotes.

Well i heard on tmj4 that they changed it and there playing everything from the 1960's - NOW. that's gonna be a HUGE playlist.

i am looking forward to how it will end up.

Damn I was just going to post this.....:goof

I was watching TMJ4 at noon and they did the official switch live at 12:12pm during the newscast. The new format is a continuous iPod type shuffle with thousands of songs to pick from, if you're familiar with JackFM in Chicago it's the same thing.....:headbang

So, I take it it is going to be more of an oldies station?? That'll be awesome, seeing as WOKY is now strictly classic country, which I also love, but I miss the other music they used to play.

They will be playing ALL kinds of music, which is why it will be very popular here in Milwaukee where most stations play one kind of music over and over again.....:loser

I listend to 94.5 more lately since 99.1 and others went to holiday music (didn't want delila either).

So, what can I listend to for non-kiddie-pop?

Now I get to choose between Country (alright), Rock (m'kay), Oldies (it cool), and 90.7 (learn something today).

I am also a radio junkie and am surprised to just hear about this now as I actually read radio forums and heard nothing of this flip.
Hopefully they fired Blades morning show ?

I never heard Jack from Chitown but did read alot of complaints about it on radio forums.
I love 60's and 70's rock along with many forms of gangster rap and other crap music but the only FM station I really use is 96.9 The Drive out of Chicago. I rally wish a MUSICRADIO type format like WLS use to play would be revived, especially with Lujack.

I will try The Lake 94.5, not to be confused with The Lake 96.1 out of Lake Geneva.......

96.9 The Drive FTMFW...!!! :banana1: It is by far my favorite station but the reception here in Milwaukee is not in stereo for me so I don't listen to it as much as I'd like to, which is hardly at all :crying . If I could get it in stereo I would listen to it all the time.....:headbang

Another station right here in Milwaukee that I've come to LOVE as of late is 88.9 Radio Milwaukee. They play ALL kinds of 'different' music not heard by most which often includes MANY local artists; it's what radio stations used to be like years ago and is very refreshing in this day in time.....:banana

Someone asked about Blades... stolen from jsonline.com...

With the transition at noon, all the WKTI on-air voices are gone from the station, which will remain without personalities at least through the rest of the year.

There is also the UWM radio. They play a different gaunra(yeah I know its not spelled right but, i'm lazy and i'm not looking it up) everyday of the week. I don't remember the station though.

Might be time to send in the old resume.

I hit it by accident seeking at work, was on all day and added it to my
preset in the truck. ZZ-top thru the Pointer sisters, cool by me.

I just drove for 40 min with it on again, had a few lame old stuff but went on to play enough cool stuff to keep the volume cranked.

I get so frustrated driving to work with total crap on the radio. I was shocked when 95.7 went Christmas along with 99.1. I was sick of that guy yacking all the time on WKTI during my drive at 10:00pm. At least there is some hope now. I will be tuning in to 94.5 on my way to work tonight.
