not really. I will have several months before I can see again and a very LOOONG recovery after that. My speech will be gone and my ability to stand will be gone for several months. I have tentatively several weeks of recoup in the hospital.

I spoke Yoosof, very briefly after work on the phone.... I could hear it in his voice how stressed out he is.

He said the procedure is no less than 8 hours long. And I would have too assume that he will be out (induced coma) for a few days while the swelling goes down. I know everyone is trying to keep the mood light, but this is one of the most serious things to ever happen here on BCM. Yoosof has been here since the beginning and is largely responsible for it's success.

Reverend Cooper
11-05-2008, 07:36 PM
I would say stressed is a very light word at this point.

hey yoo, like was said before,if you need anything let us know. Major surgury is defanatly scary, however with how advanced medical technology is, I am sure you will pull through...you are a fighter and you have family and freinds who care about you.

when you are able to have visitors, be sure to have dave or some one let us know. I know how it is to be in a hospital for an extended stay.

Yoosof went into surgery officically at 10:25am. Originally he was supposed to get out of surgery at 4pm. They just got the tumor out and he should be out of surgery by 2:30pm.

Doc says he did not loose a lot of blood and has been the best case scenerio so far.

Dave just fed me another update...

The doc has 40 years experience in brain surgery, so he's the Man in Milwaukee when it comes to this. The tumor is a vascular tumor and was not connected to the brain. It was right on top. Tests indicate no cancer, but they still don't know why he got it in the first place, but at least now they know to keep a look out going forward.

The doc described that the "brain relaxed after removing the tumor"

again... The best news we could possibly hear so far, but he aint out of the woods yet.

I can only say thank God!!!!!!
He has allowed several miracles in my life,2 of them have come in the last 4 days.
It felt great to see and be seen, and to have a bit of conversation with a great friend that I had no clue going in if he would even know or recognize me. Is it coincidence Dave happened to be there working I think not,Is it coincidence the tumor was not connected to the brain,I think not. My faith has never been taken or shaken, but after the last four days it deffinitely been reaffirmed hardcore.
Yoo is a fighter,he WILL be fine.

I can only say thank God!!!!!!

Are you sure...
It could have been the paw of Ganesha guiding the surgeon... it surely took the patience of an elephant.

or maybe it was Igzi'abihier, or Boran, or Shangdi, or Bhagavan, or Ek Onkar, or Tirthankar, or Aten, or Buddha, or Mithras, or Allah, or Haile Selassie, or Xwedê, or Cao Đài, or... or... or...

He's ok, and that's all that matters :thumbsup :headbang
