the air car would average 106 mpg
The air car can tool along at a top speed of 35 mph for some 60 miles or so on a tank of compressed air
On highways, the CAV can cruise at interstate speeds for nearly 800 miles with a small motor that compresses outside air to keep the tank filled. The motor isn't finicky about fuel. It will burn gasoline or diesel as well as biodiesel, ethanol or vegetable oil.

For something that is supposed to be energy efficient, they sure as hell didn't put much thought into aerodynamics

Sweet they have probably 10 more minutes before filing bankruptcy like every other alternative fuel car maker.

But atleast they didn't make them look completely ridiculous.

I saw the same thing on tv about 3 months ago. I think it was a different company, because the cars looked a lot more like an xB. The idea is to replace gas stations with compressed air stations.

you forget oxygen is an oxidizer (go figure) and if those tanks explode in the presence of for instance another car in flames who has hit this vehicle. = Bad news.
