My dad's recent project with my uncle and another guy in Michigan. Runs in the D Sports Racing category in SCCA. A lot of R&D this year, but pictures are way more fun as it is.

The motor is one that my dad designed and builds. 4-cylinder, 880 cc two-stroke. Uses Arctic Cat cylinders and heads. The rest is designed and built by my dad.

Part of me thinks this is why Adam likes me. (:

Had the car on a chassis dyno at the SCCA Runoffs and it had 196 hp at 9700 rpms at the rear wheels. Pretty impressive for a cute little motor!

:stare wow! 200whp from 880cc is very impressive. I like the billet bellhousing. Your father is definitely a talented man.

It's overweight at 1100 pounds (should be 1000 with driver). Since it's the first of three being built, it's going to be heavier since there is a lot of R&D stuff in it in terms of body work and the aero design. Carbon fiber body though. It's so nice being able to take a section of the body off by yourself. I remember when I was younger and my dad's racecar back then was all fiberglass because I couldn't lift the nose by myself. Carbon fiber is amazing and fun to work with.

Another reason I think Adam likes me since I know how to work with the stuff!

Very cool. I was parked next to a guy with one of those at ra yesterday, except he is running a gsxr1000 motor. Said it weighed <1000 with him in it and I'd believe it after helping him get it off the trailer. Was running 2:08's and said with a gear swap and more seat time could go sub 2 minutes:stare
