ack... screw you guys... i can find rotary engines like hookers on craigslist... but i havent the foggiest idea where to look for an LSx or a T56... hence the reason i asked

I posted above where you should be able to find what your looking for quite easy. Check in the parts classifieds and also go to the midwest section as there is a midwest section classifieds and can usually find stuff close by meaning like IL and such so may save on shipping.

Use the weigth advantage your ride has. you can moderately cam a LS1 and pocket port the heads to mak 500. 500 mite not sound like that much but the TQ of the V8 will make that thing a barnstormer. If you doing in the sig car bud did almost the same 350 vortec heads and a 292 comp cam and it ran heads up with a PG brodix track one headed Monte. Just trying to save you a couple bucks.
