Im trying to do a fvcking paper for my econ class and MS word wont work! Its a new laptop and everytime I open word it tells me to enter the product code and everytime i just skipped it and it worked fine, but now it makes all the buttons locked and when I try to type it says I cant becuase something is locked or something........I need help, do I just need to enter the product code? I have no idea where to find it. FVCK

its because you trial is over either buy it or restore your shit to a much earlier date it should work,went threw the same crap on mine too

Mines not a trial version, it came with mine since its vista.....thats why Im so confused as to why its doing that

its is still just the trial version,that has only some parts unlocked untill you buy the full version,it did the same thing on my new laptop also with vista and it came with it also

yep...mine came with my laptop and i had to buy it as well. Got Office 07 through the Army for like $20.....woohoo!

orrrr, you can roll the clock back in the bottom right cornor, thats what i did on mine when i got the same message.

Using a trial and expecting it to work forever isn't exactly the smartest thing ever.

Go download openoffice and have at it.

^^^I paid for all the office apps like word,excel,and pwr point......thats why I dont get why its doing that.

If you paid for them, then put in the code you got when you paid so it registers itself. Most new computers come with a trial version of office 2k7 now. If you paid for it they would've included a registration code with your paperwork. If you put that in and it didn't recognize you might have to uninstall office and reinstall in case there was a corruption or something. There's really not much more to it than that though.

What he said. my wifes laptop came with what we found out was a trial of office. Said f dat and now have open office and it works great, just save your stuff as a .doc

I have never seen a computer that came with a full version of MS Office.
