I have a good friend who is building a race car for this event in 2009. In 2008, they will use the escort on more time. The 2009 race will be done in a camaro. Rules for this event are you cannot spend more than $500 for the car. Would anyone be willing to donate a part or two to the effort. I know they are looking for a ratchet shifter for the 700R trans in the car. (I think that's the kind it has) It's an 89 Camaro. Look at the web site.

lol....Modern Performance entered a neon and they were accused of cheating....their car got turned into a Honda. Good luck to them next year...that event looks like lots of fun.
