anyone heard of them? anyone use their trans / convertors? anyone have any local trans builders? I am building a 351w into a 393 stroker, should be 550 hp plus at the crank. obviousely my stock T5 will not live very long. I am looking for a C4, reverse manual, transbrake, with a decent convertor. Redneck sells a complete kit for $1200, but internet reviews seem to be split on quality... any suggestions?
Thanks
Matt

Well if I was buying something that costed $1200 I wouldn't be happy with a 50/50 ratio from happy customer to upset :goof

Hipsters and Kenny ring a bell, Kenny works out of his home and has built thousands of trannys.

I used a 3600 stall from them in my nitrous'd big block for three years with no problems at all.

Redneck has an excellent reputation in the Mustang world.

I believe the founder of Redneck is actually one of the former brains at Art Carr.

If you go on Corral.net and search for Redneck in the forums, you will find ALOT of guys that have been very happy. If I ever go automatic (which it looks like I may be) I will definately be calling Redneck.

Do a search on corral.net. I've read some very good reviews and people seem to be very happy with their transmissions and converters for the price.

I also heard thier stuff is standup. For the price you pay for a TCI I would rather go for a redneck in my book. Your looking for a effeciant converter and what I have seen there are standup guys.

I would never use a TCI convertor again,
I had one behind a mild 352 with a C6, lasted all of 1 month.
I have actually had Kenny do a few trannies for me in the past, But i cant build one for what they sell one for.
