i transferred plats off of my old truck to my new jeep and now i need the truck again because my wife's KIA broke again "go figure" . the only problem is i lost the title to the truck . is that needed to register a car?
i am kinda in a pinch don't have money to buy a new car and still owe on the KIA. witch needs a new axle = big $$

i would think that if you need new plates, you will need the title. you should be able to get a new title printed and new plates all in one visit to the lovely dmv. so yes. in your situation i beleive that you will need a title.

Lost title fee is $25 Vs. the 6$69.50 charged for a title transfer.

what kind of paper work do you need to get a duplicate title? i still have the the bill of sale is that good enough?

i would think an old registration or insurance card would be the best. all my experiences with the dmv and "bills of sale" turned out bad.

Everything is for sale buddy, on the block this week is a 99 Grand Cherokee with a young 171k 4.0 and 4 fresh 245/70/16 General AT2 super snow tyres.
I got $1500 into it, come get it for $2k. :banana1: See ya in dat kia first snow. :rolf

DMV is open to 7 tonite BTW. :headbang

I've gone in with just my drivers license/ID.. they can look you up, see that you own the vehicle. Done it a few times cuz I'm a moron and lose stuff.

I dont even think that you will even need the title, they should be able to just look it up
