Good lord. I couldn't help but think. How long does it take to make a track like that. Those bridges. Those jumps. I used to build jumps and it takes a long ass time to get it right. Those guys are insane.

I'd die on that trail.

I would have broken my neck on the first bridge landing in a tree.

that's badass. it kind of reminds me of the trail and jumps hidden inside jackson park long time ago.

I would have a hard time walking down that hill. Of course I would be hammered to try it.

Mad skills there!

I wanted to show you that video, Pork. But I see you know about it. Those bridges are IN-Freakin-SANE!!! I see they thoughtfully installed alternate routes for sallies. I don't think I could do that. I mean, how fast do you have to go to make some of those jumps? I noticed one bridge that was maybe ten inches wide that they did not use, It kinda just went off to the side.

These trails are in Kansas, and they look pretty insane theres no doubt about it. I would love to give them a run, but I would need a bit more gear then I wear now.

id hit it. someone tried building a log ride out in the kettle, its pretty gay and u dont get enough speed the way its set up. my buddy jeremy (JR) is the mountain bike trainer out at woodward west. He built all there down hill stuff. some of the shit from the pics he showed me i think is ******* insane. off his myspace.

I knew which video you were talking about before I even clicked. Certainly a badass trail although I don't think me never doing a trail would help. I would probably kill myself on that. I know there are some trails behind K-Mart or Target on 27th right next to the denny's. You just go in the back of the store and theres a whole in the fence. Someone built some nice jumps back there(this was when I was a kid so I don't know if there still there and if they are as big as I thought).

I'd love to get into this when I get back to WI. in December. Question is, are there any decent bikes in the 5-600 range??

tell you the truth, you could get a decent bike for that if you stay away from full suspension. my regret is a cheaper full suspension bike. i put a rear shock on with "lock out" which basically allows it to be riden as a hard tail. the reason i regret it is because alot of are trails are not like the one in the video, no huge jumps. with full suspension u tend to loose alot of drive on the up hills.

You're talking about a bike with just a front fork suspension right? I've never really been to much of a fan of those Y shaped bikes anyways. So are disc brakes a must?

id say only get a bike with disc's once you have them you'll always want them!! my bike isnt a Y frame, but yea front suspension only

that bike is awesome! i duno how tall you are, the problem u may find with that bike is it has a really short top tube, makeing it a short bike. if ur under 5'8" that bike could be fun!! my little brother whos a professional BMX rider rides a p2.cr-mo bike. when we go trail riding and that one is very short about 8in shorter then mine.(cheap K2)
