so I just picked up a brandy new westinghouse 19" widescreen LCD. 3000:1 contrast ratio, 1680x1050 resolution, and a 2ms response time. The first issue im having is my onboard video card is limiting my monitor big time. The second is.... whats the best way to "tune in" my LCD monitor (the built in monitor settings) for optimum color/clarity.....etc? I keep playing with the settings but I can't get it just right. Maybe it would be best to just start with a better video card?

I would suggest a new video card. The onboards are junk imo. If it is an Intel Onboard you could always install the full Intel Video Driver Package so you have the adjustment tools. It may help a little.

a few months ago I got a 22" Westinghouse lcd monitor and it took a while to get adjusted to it. For a week I played with all the brightness and contrast settings because it just didn't look right. I finally just went back to factory settings and I'm use to it now.

try to run it @ its native resolution... 1680x1050... for best results.
