It is a Chassis Certification. (Skottie is not the best speller)

For your car to go faster than 9.99/slower than 8.50, you must have a 10 point roll cage that has to be inspected and certified by a NHRA tech guy. The closest guy is three hours away, so if he travels here, it will save you money on gas! :thumbsup

well said, basically it is a certification that the roll cage has been installed correctly, is the right thickness, and has been welded properly. the faster you go, the more cage you need......:thumbsup

Sign your waver at the track but they still want to know
someone said "yah dude's gonna kill himself" :)

For a "chassis cert" you will need the chassis only if thats
what state its in, the harness' and chutes are checked per
run. Likewise its not to look at your battery mounts, its
about cage/suspension/tubing.

A single guy at a track can charge crazy money for a 20
min inspection that requires a quick sonic check of tubing
and visual on welds. Other big tracks down south do it for
free for there customers as a thank you. I was gonna do mine a year ago while everything was ez to see, after what a local drag strip wanted to do the sonic/visual check to certify the car I hung up the phone...Im a welder and a fabriactor so for that money I'll buy a cert by mail!
