181k,4.0, Auto Trans, Part time transfer box, crank windows
I have been doing all kinds of stuff to this truck the past month getting it ready for winter and its just how I want it now. A real hack patched the left rear door with soffit material and stich screws and used a baseball bat to push a dent out of the front right door. Ground a whole lot of cancer off the bodywork and then sprayed rustoleum paint and primer all over the thing. :rolf

Everything but the cruise works, runs great and does not pull, wander, shimmy or shake. It accelerates, runs, shifts, cruises and stops smoothly.
Driven it 100 miles one way to the SW side of Chicago several times in the last month and would drive it anywhere as it sits right now. Runs real nice down the highway at 75MPH. NO DEATH WOBBLE.
Does not burn oil, I thought it dropped a nickel sized drop of oil overnight or maybe not as I have not noticed crap and I always watch.
Interior and body condition consistent with 20 years use in this salt mine, there is pitting and cancer still visible under the fresh rustoleum.
I fixed all the nickel and dime crap wrong with this rig over the last year and a half and the truck has been dead reliable, it hasn't missed a beat and always starts. Family member had it for 10 years previous to me and it never let that person down either.
I was planning on driving it for the winter but out of the blue a very clapped 99 Grand Cherokee came to me for a steal of a deal, it just needs $1500 to make it roll. So I'm selling the XJ to raise funds to start all over on another 171k pile a junk winterbeater Heep, another beloved 4.0 with a selectrac transfer box, leather, a cd player, a fancy remote clicker and a death wobble to beat the band.:rolf
Also got the front rotor with inside brake rotor surface missing, twin pistons into the cooling vanes, tires with wires hanging out of them and frosted headlights. :thumbsup
$1000 without the KC lights, firm I gotta have $1000.
