Hello, I just found this forum today, and so far it looks pretty sweet! I live in Neenah, WI - but I am at GLD for Import Wars every chance I get (usually 5 or 6 shows a year for last three years.) Anyway, I thought I would display some of my favorite pics I have taken of my car. Any comments or criticisms are welcome - let me know what you think!

Hey, thanks for the quick welcome guys! I am on a couple of different auto forums, so I am just, for the meantime, nosing around and seeing what this place is all about... I found BCM while trying to search for upcoming car shows/events. Hopefully the year is not over as far as activities go!

Great pictures and great car, some of those pictures look really cool and I assume the cooler looking ones are HDR which I normally do not like much.
A simple question, that colorful license plate in the first few pics you posted, where is it from ?

It's a Florida plate. I lived there from April of this year until last week. I really don't want to give up the plate - I love the way it looks!

I would transfer that plate over to here. where in FLA did you live? WHY DID YOU MOVE HERE? I lived in Coconut Creek and FT. Lauderdale for many years and still have family in Tampa.

You can achieve similar results playing with contrast, saturation, etc. But yes, cool shots (and car) none the less :headbang

Thanks for the welcome everyone! I try to be as active as possible as far as car shows and other events (track days, cruises, etc...) and have no problem taking a little drive to do some fun stuff. I promote my car and photography pretty heavily, so I like to be involved. Hopefully it's not too late in the year for a couple more shows or meets!

How does the "APS SR40 Dual Ball-Bearing Turbo" compare to the 30r?

I have never ran a 30r in my car, so I can't offer a comparison. I can say, however, that it does spool up rather quickly and consistantly all the way to 24.5 lbs....

Thanks! I love practicing with different options, and taking as many shots as I can. I usually get one 'keeper' per 30 or 40 shots. I'd like to try to arrange some kind of cruise/meet where we could all drive from location to location, trying to find some cool shots. We did one in Florida, and it turned out to be a kick-ax day!

Very nice, I know a guy with a 30r and that STI moves! He runs 28 psi. So I assume the 30r is the "larger" of the two?

I am not 100%, but I am pretty sure that the SR40 is a variant of the 30r...

Yeah, the only thing the WI one had was the ability to use 2 spaces instead of one. I'm thinking of getting 'WTF STI' when I register it again...

I know how that goes..... I did that about 5 years ago, moved down to Peoria IL to work for as a mechanic for a speed shop..... about 6 months later I was moving back up here because they where going under.

Love that STI, would love to have one.
