if you havent seen it you should ... this movie is freakin amazing

To bad frank lucas was busted out and found out he wasnt as big of a pusher as the movie made him out to be..

I actually went into it with lower expectations...and enjoyed it as it was better than expected. What I really liked about it was Denzel...he really is fun to watch. However, the story itself was too sympathetic to a strongarm scum such as he was. Kind of like the movie "blow" where we're supposed to root for this guy?

it did remind me of blow in some ways.. and is it sad to say i kinda felt bad for the guy at the end of blow..



then i realized thats what you get for dealing drugs

i thought it was a good movie. almost does make you pull for the bad guy though. best part is when he shoots the guy right in the market and gives him his "20%." lol

Ok movie, but Denzel plays frank lucas with waay more credit then deserved. I read how the real Frank Lucas speaks in a interview, and the reporter left nothing out.. he is staight up down south NC grown, "he tal lik dis, and di dis wit tha otha man wit his drug monay" No shit, Denzel makes this guy look like gold. The extremly intelligent screen Frank Lucas was the total opposite of the real like Frank Lucas, who proably used more brute than intelligence in all reality.
