Cool photos. I too am venturing in to the art of amature photography. Don't have anything quite that stunning yet.

its fun to play around though with the camera and I feel that the more that I play with the equipment, the more confident I become to pull off a good shot. The above with shot with my Minolta X-370S 35mm with a 50mm "standard" lens and a green 49mm filter. The room was totally dark minus the use of a flourescent hand held "shop" light aimed on the subject matter. My favorite is the piston. Its so blurred, shot using F1.7 to achieve the ULTRA narrow depth of field (mere inches)

Wow, that's with film?! How did you get them electronic? Scan in negatives or 4x6 prints?

Dave - everytime I get my film developed I get the photo CD as well from Walgreens, so those are straight from the CD

I'd like to do some photography too. I want to get some photos of my model cars. Also, I read in a magazine which was about forty years old how a kid put his model airplanes on a glass table and took photos from underneath. Simply put, you couldn't tell the real thing from the models.
