Transmission options with a 351w??

For those who have went down this road, what are my options for 5 or 6 speed tranny's?



Its looking like im going to have to stay with a built T5, but anyone here done a t56 swap?

Stock bell? Check out Mcleod, Quicktime, Lakewood, Tremec if you going TKO or something. The list is all on there pages. Ya can use a T5 on a windsor but I think ya gotta stick with a 10.5'' clutch. For a Fox

TKO is probably your best option at this point. a built T5 is still a T5, you could do a T56 with a ultrabell. but now your talking some big coin.

t56 would be expensive and overkill for this application. I used a tremec tko with a lakewood shield in the cobra and was very impressed. Way better trans than a world class T-5.

So a Tko 600, with a good bell houseing and i should be set. Ill make some calls monday morning.

closer to 600 to the flywheel, 2600 isnt bad when you think about building a WC T5 $1000, then breaking it and doing it again.

BTW: im stroking the 351 out with some good parts. :thumbsup

You could go with an Astro Performance or G-Force T5.

Ive heard too many problems with the G-Force T5, i think im just going to suck it up and get the tko 600.
