That car is fucked! But for $250 total I'm surprised that didn't raise a red flag there.

Agreed. If I had a new 350Z (or even newer), I wouldn't of went cheap on my body kit install... I mean, $250 for paint on the body kit itself is cheap... Without the fitment...

Thats all he paid? I didnt know you just dropped your car off without asking for pics of OTHER customers cars and give them a call to see what they think of the service. Yes its the shops fault, but owner shoulda thought something was fishy.

come on people!?! he paid $250!!! what would you expect? If the kid had a brain, he should have NEVER taken the car from the shop...plain and simple. you pay that kind of money for the car then get cheap with the upgrades? maybe he should have bought a hyundai instead.

I'll bet he called about 20 shops for a quote and picked the cheapest one after he ran out of money from spending a fortune on the parts.

That is almost "Diana" quality work. :rolf

NOTICE TO ALL OTHER FORUM VIEWERS

Take the time to read through this first page. A lot of wrong information is being spread out like herpes throughout the other forums. People see pictures, $250 price tag, and immediately think "you get what you pay for" or "owner is stupid for thinking he'd get a good finish".

$750 was the total price paid for this garbage.

He was "Quoted" $250 for the job.

Without it even being test fitted, Mike had already quoted me at $250.

That included all prep, installation, and paint.

He then made a new invoice which was now at $730.69. A $480 price hike from the original quote
He ended up paying $730 for the shit job...... I could do a better job in my driveway with some rattle cans and a few sheets...... for $730 ;)

looks good to me! For the money he spent in Cali to get that done, I'd say he got pretty value for his money. There is a body shop on every corner in L.A. LOL

You really do have to live and learn with that kinda stuff. A few years back, someone I thought was trustworthy did some "bodywork" on the passenger-side door of my Camaro. It never looked quite right, and then due to an accident, it was revealed that the individual had never even removed rust/existing damage to begin with, and it had been steadily rotting under the "all-metal" filler. I didn't bother screwing around with it, just replaced it with a new one entirely, but I know now from this that if a price seems "to good to be true," it probably is something to avoid.

And to everyone saying he only paid $250, you're wrong. He was 1st quoted $250, but the quote was raised to $750 to do the job correctly, so that's what he paid, $750..........to do the job "correctly"...........:rolf

I spent more in primer then he did on an install.

I dont get it still....he paid the bill AND looked at the car!?!?! The guy is a moron either way and deserved it imo for driving off. You could see the door not lined up and the wood screws in the side.

I agree. Buyer beware. This buyer was a total DUMB ASS!!

What kind of "body shop" communicates over AIM? Judging by his chat the guy doing the body work was in his teens.. He said he was too busy doing homework to finish the car.

No pity for this clown. He would have ruined his 350Z whether he took it to this shop or not.
