My personal best poker win:

I had Kings full of Jacks, and the other guy had Jacks full of Kings. When he flipped them at the end, I actually thought he had four jacks (he had a King-Jack actually), so at first, my heart sank...that was the ONLY thing showing that could have beat my hand.

What was weird was we had another bettor that kept raising/calling...so I didn't know who had which. But the put became HUGE for a 5-10 table...something like 300++ (there was heavy action in the first couple rounds too).

He kept betting, getting raised, and then raised by me...and it wasn't until the river that the odd bettor out finally folded...but not after calling the first guy's bet (I raised and then was raised again).

I had to sit out a round or two to collect all the chips! Then my next two betting hands resulted in blind aces each time, so I easily chased out others and bought the pots...I was on a roll that night.

I've played at a home poker game, and we had a royal flush on the table. What's the chances of that!?!

First three= the flop

4th card= the turn

5th= the river

I play pretty much every week a decent home game usually with 18 or better people, then monthly at a different home game with 20 or more. It's a fun game, but I never remember my good hands, only the bad beats...

I'm suspicious of guys who ask "what's meant by 'the river'?"
