Paul Newman, the legendary actor whose steely-blue eyes, good-humored charm and advocacy of worthy causes made him one of the most renowned figures in American arts, has died, his spokeswoman told CNN today. Newman was 83. He died of cancer Friday at his home in Westport, Connecticut, said spokeswoman Marni Tomljanovic.

WOW, That sucks, I knew he was old, but not 83, In the late 70's and 80's he drove Datsuns. And from what I've read about him he was actually quite an Asshole.

The world lost another great entertainer and motorsports icon. Bummer. I really liked his acting, especially his characters Cool Hand Luke and Fast Eddie Felson. The guy was cooler than most Hollywood luminaries even in his 80's. I would sooner clean Paul Newman's garage floor than party with a drip like Keanu Reeves.

R.I.P. Mr. Newman, you will be missed. :(
