I'm having a problem with my wife's 2000 KIA sportage
the thing is just hard to start when its cold. i take like 10 cycles of the key. the stater sound strong has no check engine light and runs great for a Korean piece of sh*t any ideas on where to start.

check all the wiring connectors. they are cheap and corrode.
also be sure the grounds are all good.

Almost sounds like the fuel pressure regulator or fuel pump might be getting weak. Maybe check the fuel filter also. I havent dealt with a Kia before though so these are just rough guesses.

Why don't you use some of that 10yr 100,000mile warranty that they offer??

any ideas on where to start.

a salvage titled KIA? Why did you pay for it??? If you say anything more then $100 then you should be shot.

well the best thing I can say to fix the kia problem is this....give me 50 bucks and the keys, I will drive it to a location deep in the hood........leave key in ignition running.....exit vehicle....wait five min for vehicle to leave the designated area with a 15 year old behind the wheel.....you file police report...Your insurance company buys you new car.

What a pile of rubbish, your gonna burn the starter out. With your luck it will probably go out in January in the walmart parking lot. :shades
