Seems like more of a "Sighting" than a bust.
Also doubt the value is affected. Plenty of $$$ after those cars.

12.5 isn't to bad on stock tires. Still don't think I would be too happy knowing my brand new car has already seen the strip though!

see thats the only thing I would be pissed about. If I buy a brand new car I ususally just drive it normal till about 1k miles then I slowly push it a little harder to 1.5k miles then from 1.5k to 2k miles I really let it rip. I was told this is a good break in method.

there are a couple articles I've read, that talk about how hard break-ins are better for the rings and stuff, but you have to get em warm before you go beat on em.

who cares, a couple 1/4 mile passes wont hurt anything, whats the difference if the car was on several test drives where the driver passed a guy at full throttle or was at full throttle to merge onto a freeway.

Depending on the buttons that are pushed, this could easily make these vehicles "unsellable" as a new vehicle. Nissan would require a used sticker on them, or they would be pulled alltogether.

As for the douches racing them, well...they really need to learn to drive. :rolf I hope that they enjoy looking for new jobs as they will be losing theirs very quickly when the dealer finds out this information.

My friend ****'s skyline GTR did 11.7's @ 118 a week after purchase at WIR with the launch control on, and everything else was completely stock. Pulled low 1.7's in the 60-foot no problem. Really nice car, I was fortunate to drive it around the block last night when I stopped up in Green Bay at Beyond Redline. I didn't get on it at all -- it is not my car, nor can I afford to pay for it or repairs if I did anything to it.

As for the launch control voiding the warranty, we will find out quickly about that with ****'s car -- it needs to stop by the dealership this week for service. I am thinking that there are other things though (with ****'s car), that will be voiding his warranty. Cough..Cough...Tires installed by 3rd party tire dealer were wrong size, and overheating the transmission's differentials....Cough..Cough....

Personally, there is no way in hell I would purchase a NEW $75,000+ car with greater than 40 miles on it, especially with track time on it. It isn't like these things are Toyota Camry's or Pontiac Vibe's that are a dime-a-dozen.

I hope they had fun, as they are now in for a shitstorm.

Guys in cobalt SS's have the same philosophy, and some are having to take out loans to replace busted transaxles in their 4 month old cars.

You take you're warranty into your own hands with blantantly beating something above and beyond the occasional WOT run.

Good job Mr. Foote. I will be sure to never ever recommend that anybody go to your dealership.
I especially like this quote from your statement:
"all you posers that can't afford a gt-r get your
story straight"

Wow. Harsh, huh? All you posers who, according to you, can't afford a GTR. So you think it's about being able to afford a GTR, huh. Interesting.

I wonder what the folks at Nissan North America will think of it. I'll send it over right now, with a screen shot of these comments.

lordairgtar

First off, no dealer would let people pick up their cars on Sunday in Wisconsin. Second, in this state, nothing leaves the lot without tags of some kind. Either your trade in's tag or one of those temp paper ones. If those had dealer tags, someone was joy riding.

well if they were bought and sold, state law states that they have to have at least a temp tag on it to be run on state roads and highways. if they are demos (and they can say that they were) then they need dealer license plates on them. if all of the plastic is on the vehicle and plates are of, one can safely say that the dealer was trying to cover their ass in this
