The bike I have been spending the most time on recently is my Kona, it looks really nice now that I finally washed it!

Im looking for something full suspension and lighter, the mullet/bitter are more of a hucking bike so they are heavier.

They only make the session 88 now no 77. the 88 were listed at 5500 so I figured yours would of been slightly less. Very nice bike. If i get into trail riding like I want to and decide to upgrade it will be a full suspension model.

Thats why im seriously considering getting an IBEX for my next bike, they have full suspension with full xtr components for 1700. for the money you cant really beat it.

edit: looks like most of the bikes are down for the season, cant wait to see what they have for the 09 model year. but even this is great for the money. http://ibexbikes.com/Bikes/ASTA-COMP-X7-Details.html

Scott, thats the bike I'm looking at. Seems like a good price at 550, I'm going to fly over to Wheel and Sprocket this afternoon and see what they would sell one to me for. Either of you want to ride today? I'm bored

Silver350
10-28-2008, 03:01 PM
Eric,

Here is the link to that craigslist ad I saw.
http://milwaukee.craigslist.org/bik/893358817.html

If you go to wheel and sprocket

Print this out and take it with you.

http://wheelandsprocket.com/itemdetails.cfm?id=11764

The store has them marked for around $840. Show them this price. they will tell you it is last year but ask them if they can meet you half way on the price. I bought mine for $775 when all said and done. Like a car dont buy it for sticker.

I would like to ride but its tuesday and I have softball early tonight and then a late game next week and then I am done.

pOrk
10-28-2008, 06:56 PM
They would probably do a better price for me considering I just bought an expensive bike from there. I'm goign to try and snag that one of craigslist first. How do you like it so far?

Silver350
10-29-2008, 08:46 AM

I'm liking the road bike thing more and more lately. Picked up an old Motobecane that's so old that Napoleon prolly rode it in the Inaugural Tour de' France... does the job though.. :goofThose old bikes like that are generally great bikes. Not the fastest or most comfortable...but reliable and bullet proof. Some are like tanks...nothing you ride over will break them.

The old ones are easier to had for less money, and are great for single speed conversions

Had this bike for 12yrs now and can't get anything else. I am way to used to the overall geometry of the bike and non of the newer bikes do it for me. But it's comfy, and handles great and damn near bullit proof!

Broke it in a week. The brake/shifter was too tight from factory and crack the carbon handle bar. Trek is warranting the part.

It's a $300 bike I'm pretty sure it's better than $300 you'd spend at walmart. :goof
