G** D*** Torres you suck. Gave up a run yesterday in the nineth. Now today you give up 4 runs allowing the cubs to tie it. Are you the new Gagne :fire

Sorry folks needed to vent

*EDIT* Also venting about our new managers decision for the game. Top of 9 you have runners on the corners hart doubles and the third base coach sends hardy to get tagged out at the plate 1 out. Then you have corey har try to steal third and gets gunned down now there are 2 outs Consell strikes out and the good inning was ruined

Go cubs!!!

hell if harden didn't walk so many to begin the game it wouldn't have been this close anyways as he would have went more then 5 innings

This game should of been over a while ago. Im still pissed that they tried to have hart steal third when a lefty is at the plate.... How stupid can you be the catcher has a perfect line to throw to third it was a righty there may have been a chance.

It's nice to see a catcher with some POP in his bat, that's for sure. Where the hell did the Mike Piazza type catcher go?? Hell, give me someone with Mickey Tettleton type numbers over what the Crew puts out there now. Oh, that's right, Kendall calls a great game, that makes up for batting .250 with 2 dongs.......right?

soto calls a great game...maybe even better then kendall...he did after all call big z's no-no....that should have some impact on him winning ROY too. i see soto being with the cubs for a LONG time to come

Yes it does.

And he also has one of the highest pick of % in the game right now.

soto is still hands down better.....coming into this season i was a bit worried about our catcher...but after the first month i knew we'd be fine.....i mean the guy has played like 130-140 games and hit 24HR has 75RBI and is hitting .285

compared to kendal's 2HR 46RBI and .246AVG........so how is soto not better??

I would rather have a Mike Piazza clone who couldn't throw out Prince on the basepaths than Kendall.

Kendall is not a good hitter. FACT. He also can't seem to make a decent throw out to second base to pick off someone stealing! He needs to go!

(Runs/HR/RBI/AVG)

Brian McCann - ATL - 66/23/85/.299

Kelly Shoppach - CLE - 64/21/55/.269

Mike Napoli - LAA - 33/17/39/.225

Chris Ionetta - COL - 46/17/60/.271

They are still around.
Victor Martinez hit 25 with Cleveland last year, but only has 2HR this year... something is broken.

Are you kidding? Read my last post.

edit:

Looks at the stats!!
http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/stats/fielding?groupId=9&season=2008&seasonType=2&split=78&sortOrder=true&sortColumn=fieldingPct

He has the HIGHEST CS percentage in ALL OF BASEBALL.

Catchers are not expected to be great hitters....thats just how it is. But when you get one who can hit....consider yourself lucky.
