Charter Automotive car show update. PLEASE READ IF YOU ATTENDED!!!!!

As everyone knows the place where I work hosted a car show to benefit the United Way earlier this year (thanks to those who attended:thumbsup). What most people probably didn't know was that the ballot box was stuffed for a certain car that was clearly inferior to other cars in attendance and won 1st place. Well, long story short, the ballot stuffer has actually relinquished his trophy! He works here at Charter Automotive and approached me stating his desire to make things right, which I as the organizer of course was happy to do. HAMRHEAD, who had won 2nd place, will now be awarded the 1st place trophy (congrats buddy, the amount of detail alone in your car make it a deserving recipient, much less the TT setup:thumbsup), the former 3rd place winner will be awarded the 2nd place trophy, and the 3rd place trophy will be awarded to whomever recieved the next most votes (ballot counter will be in tomorrow morning to verify, but there are several BCMers who could have been in that spot: NismoDave, Michelle, 91BoostedPony, me). Those of us who attend car shows on a regular basis have had to just accept the fact that most are rigged in one way or another: ballot box stuffing, good ole boy club, crooked vote tallying, you name it, it happens. But for once it's nice to see a person who has rigged a show actually decide that the trophy isn't worth the pride you have to swallow knowing that you've screwed someone else out of something they deserve, and my hats off to him for that fact. Perhaps there's hope for humanity after all:thumbsup

We just changed our name from Milwaukee Wire Products to Charter Automotive, it made the news for some reason. It was in the paper to:rolf Charter Wire (sister division) just broke ground for a new facility in the Menomonee Valley, and that was on the same news snippet. Lots of Charter news lately:rolf

Agreed. Didn't go there planning on winning anything but just to have fun. Was the first time I ever entered a show. Figured it was for a good cause so why not. Winning something was just an added benefit. Great show too! :thumbsup
