Dale Sveum was just named as head coach.

Maybe Sveum will be able to figure out when to switch pitchers.

Maybe Sveum will show a bit of fire. More then anything I was getting tired of just seeing the dugout have a bunch of players sitting their pouting with no emotion. Yost should be on their asses to fire up a little and stop quitting. Hell go apeshit on a Gatorade bucket, have Prince beat up a pitcher, do something. The thumb up the ass method of motivation wasn't really working.

Good riddance!

Yeah I just heard it too. Im glad he is gone I cant even describe on how frustraded I was watching f up games by leaving pitchers in to long or putting shitty pitchers in like Mota in close ball games when you know he hasnt been doing too good.

Yost should go coach an AL team where they don't have to worry about double switches and all that stuff.

Pitching is only a part of their problem. Pitchers would have needed to throw no-hitters the last 2 weeks with the pathetic hitting.

I'd sit all the "stars" for a game and start the young players to send a message.

Yost should go coach a 4-5 year old tee ball team where they don't have to worry about much at all having to do with baseball.

Fixed... ;)

Good call!

I'm glad we didn't have to wait for him to blow it at the end of the season to see his ass get fired.

IMO It might be a little two late. Brewers pretty much need to sweep the cubs to get on top. Phillies, and Astros are playing good ball right now. Phillies beat mets for the division then brewers have to contend with the mets for the NL wild card and Mets are playing well this half of the season.

thank god. Yost should have gotten the boot the first week in august. I also agree that this move might have come too late. The Cubs are going to beat the hell out of us like they usually do. I was hoping for a playoff chance this year!

Me too. I didnt care if the crew won the division this year, I just wanted them to make it to a playoff game. Hopefully Dale can light the fire and get the crew back on top.

Not gonna happen this year or next year as soiled Sheets and C.C. will be long gone. Rebuilding here we come:(

Sveum hasn't impressed me, far too conservative to his base runners. I watched him hold up two runs at third last week against the Reds, freakin' ridiculous.

Is he taking Mota and Gagne with him? *crosses fingers*

I used to think the same about Mota but he has really come around since August. Gagne still blows donkey balls though.

That could be a good thing, as the Mets bullpen is even worse than ours :D

I too wonder if this move was made a bit too late. Our schedule is really tough through the remainder of the season. We need to start hitting the g-dam ball!

What's crazy about this is how the national media can't understand the move. The team has collapsed 2 years in a row. What don't these "experts" get that they needed to do something?

Yeah but mets have been playing pretty good offense where the brewers have been lacking. Hopefully Cubbies continue playing bad. Plus they have St. Louis and the Mets between the brewers game.

Here is what sums it up best:

Yost admitted he might have been loyal to players who didn't always produce for him but said "that's my style."

Yea Ned, that might work in little league, but that shìt doesn't cut it in the bigs.
Major League heart, Little League mind.
