Agreed, that motor would have kept going had he remembered to cap the radiator. New found respect for the rotary motor.:eek:

I had gobs of enjoyment from the rotary. My 82 RX7 had (I think) the 13B engine. After taking motorheads for a spin, they were amazed and wanted to see the engine. Pop the hood, and they say "where's the engine? Is that the carbeurator?"
I did oil changes. As my first car during my new "responsible owner" phase, I was always looking for things to fix on it, since all my friends could never go anywhere with their broken cars. Didn't have much luck finding stuff to fix. Adjusted headlamp pivot linkage, one sidemarker bulb, and I think that was it. I was dissappointed I didn't get some "automotive repair learning opportuniuties" with it, I just had to learn while helping all my friends on their rides.
