97-2002.

They changed the design in 03' mainly for trucks but carried over elswhere with a longer, more round body design with a heat sink on one side.

Yes, it's a 2.3l Ford turbo Lima engine in a Pinto. The engine isn't necessarily from a mustang... they put it in a lot of cars. The pinto came with the 2.3 n/a too.
