134 miles to denver.
My brother and I are particpating in the Colorado Relay (http://coloradorelay.com) tomorrow. It's a 174 mile relay race through the Colorado Rockies.
My first leg starts at 8500 FT and goes to 10,000 in the first 4 miles.

Keep drinking water...high altitude and dry air will take it out of ya! Give yourself a little more time to hit your groove and settle into a pace...the adjustment will be a little more dramatic than you're used to...and most of all, have fun!

just finished my 2nd leg of the race at 4:26am mountain time
my team did do some re-arranging of my routes. I think it worked out great for the team.
1hr 30min for 10.78 miles (8:26 pace) @ 7500ft
1st leg (5:00pm)
47:30 for 5.9 miles (8:10 pace) @ 9800ft
1 more to go

yup, my brother's 07 Tundra CrewMax. Best 1/2 ton pickup hands down. Pushed through the rockies effortlessly. 6 speed tranny kept the rpms civil in steep climbs and in descents the truck did a good job engine braking, keeping you off the brakes and maintaining a safe speed. awesome truck for road trips. lots of room. we're getting about 17mpg doing 80mph on I-70 on our way back. slowing down to 65mph we get 22-23mpg
