This will sound really f***ing nasty, but it's pretty good (really.) Get some thick sliced bread, nice one, not wonder-crap, some natural unsweetened peanut butter, and a good onion. make a sandwich out of these items, it's odd, but good!

personally i just prefer the liver sausage fried in butter and then eaten on plain old white bread. the potato chips thing does sound good though.

we have a family owned meat market in my town that has the best liver sausage by far. i cannot stand any store boughten stuff.
